AuthenticOne was founded by Mesha Lashea in 2020. Born down south, raised in the Midwest (MN), and residing in the West Coast; she has definitely experienced a multitude of culture and expression. After shaving her head in early 2018, Mesha Lashea was inspired to start up a brand to show herself that it’s perfectly fine to be your true your authentic self and look how you look. She also wanted to represent and showcase the positive impact black culture has in the world. Whether through our hair, fashion, music, art, dance or beauty; we all share that collective experience as One. What started out as a simple a-line hand drawing of her face and bald head, then resulted in multiple designs of the same face with different, unique hairstyles. Her main goal is to show up as herself everyday and inspire others to be confident in who they are and where they come from. She hopes to spread her message through her brand, AwethenticOne.
